Five Out Of Five In League Under 10s (B)
For the first time this season we had an afternoon kick off. We started fast and strong and within two Min's Harry had a good shot that flew straight into the top of the net, 1 - 0 up Then within 2 Min's of the restart George managed to get on a keepers fumble and put us 2-0 up with only four Min's of play. The rest f the half was pretty much one way traffic With shot after shot from all around our midfield. The goals were going to it was just a matter of when.
Dan was having a good game and we were all hoping that he would get the goal that he richly deserved. Luis was commanding his team with a good captains performance Matthew was strong at the back Sam had very little to do and William and Harry were doing What we have come to expect of them, crossing the ball in from the wings, shooting when the goal opens up for them and making fast running down the wing(marvelous) It was all coming together nicely.
half time and we were 2-0 up and they haven't even had a shot at our goal.....
Second half and Gosport had rallied themselves and come out fighting they strung some passes together and looked as though they were going to threaten our goal but within 3 Min's of the restart and Harry had put the ball in there net once more 3-0 to us and Harry was now chasing his third ha-trick in three games.We made some substitution's and brought on Harrison for George and Liam for his debut in goal. The ball was fired in to the danger zone time and time again Dan was having shot after shot saved by there keeper Harrison Had some good chances and Liam was having a steady debut even if he had very little to do. They never really looked as if they were going to score and we were coasting when the ball was passed from Dan To Harry on the left, he Made a run inside and shot the ball in to take his ha-trick..Our fitnes was good as the ground was very heavy under foot and would have been energy zapping.. All in all it was a very good day at the office. we were on our game and our game is good...
Man of the match went to Harry Tumber for his good attacking play and ha-trick....
Coaches medal went to Luis Vince for a captains performance at the back....
12/10/08 Win 3-2 against Denmead (B)
At first Whistle we went off at a good pace and was passing the ball around well using the wings and pressurising their goal time and time again with good shots at goal. We looked comfortable on the ball and as though it was only going to be time until we broke the dead lock then suddenly from no where the ball was in our half.One bad mistake and we were suddenly one goal down. The captain rallied the team with cries of encouragement. and off we went again shot after shot at their goal, the game had returned to one way match when once again one laps of concentration and we were two goals down (how did that happen!!!!!).Once again we started to knock on their door, something had to go in when Harry fired the ball into the net Two One to them at half time..
Second half and all we were looking for was an early goal, once again it was one way traffic with good passing, good calling and good captaincy. 4 mins in and there it was Dan had a crack at goal that went into the net.. We kept the pressure on them with shot after shot, and cross after cross that threatened there goal . It had to come and it did from George on his debut, Three two to us , We battled and played well to win the game after we gifted them two goals. It was our fitness and determination to take the game back which was the key to our success........WELL DONE LADS.......
