New Home for Pickwick Youth "Mini Soccer"
in 2010
Through Sun , rain and now snow Pickwick Youth mini soccer teams will be training and playing matches at their new home ROKO Health Clubs Portsmouth .
Pickwick have 15 mini soccer teams from under 6 (nursery squad) and under 7 to under 10 who play in the South Hants League.Our 1st weekend of football saw Portsmouth Cup Action With Dave Bennet's under 10 team losing out on sudden death penaltys and our Under 9 C team beating under 9 D in the Junior section.
Pickwick Youth chairman Phil Scott stated "This is a major step forward for the club,with ample parking and refreshment/toilet facilities. A safe area with good playing surface that we can play and train all year round , weather permitting of course"
This would never of been able to happen without the help of Adam (General Manager Roko) ,Wilson Horticulture (Our Groundsmen) ,Chris and Colin (Pickwick) now the boys,and girls have an excellent environment to learn, meet new friends and have fun.
Why Pickwick ?
As an F.A. Charter Standard Club we run teams from Nursery.. Under 7's to Under 18's. Our aim is to raise the standard of grassroots football and widen opportunities for the local community.
This Award allows all teams at Pickwick to be recognised and accredited as a Charter Standard Club, and includes ongoing help and support from the FA and as a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.
Also by achieving this Award, we are demonstrating to all members, parents and the public, that we are a well-organised, motivated and safe club.

As Danny and Marc move up to Under 7 (many thanks for all the hard work you have put in ) we welcome 3 new coaches to our Nursery setup.Marc Light, Domonic Blakey and Nick Miller will now take over the reigns we wish them all the success in their new roles .
